Argyll Smokery recalls batch of prawns

Argyll Smokery is recalling a single batch of smoked prawns due to a processing error that means Clostridium botulinum could grow.The Food Standards Agency in Scotland has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

A sample has identified that the salt level within the product is below the level needed to make sure that Clostridium botulinum cannot grow in the product. Clostridium botulinum is the bacterium that causes botulism. As a precautionary measure, Argyll Smokery has recalled the affec
