It's been well documented that our Taster's Choice panelists aren't exactly fond of store-bought eggnog. In a tasting five years ago, only Safeway's house brand, Lucerne, earned anything resembling a lukewarm recommendation.
Faced this year, then, with a quartet of alternative nogs - those made from soy, rice and coconut-based milks - I expected the results to be pretty dismal. After all, if the panelists didn't like eggnog, wouldn't they skewer vegan nogs without the egg and milk?
