Sunland’s reopens peanut butter plant in US

Sunlands peanut butter plant in New Mexico, which has been linked to a salmonella outbreak in the US, has received a FDA approval to recommence operations at the plant.

The plant can re-operate after developing a sanitation plan with the help of an expert's advice, which must be approved by the US Food Drink Administration.

The agency had to use a new authority for the first time to cancel the company's operating certificate without a court hearing, reported Seattletimes.com.
