Portuguese winery Sogrape has bought back 32% of its stake from Jose Berardo for an undisclosed amount after a legal-battle of six years.
Founded in 1942 by three families - the Guedes, the Carmo and the Correia da Silva, Sogrape's Carmo shares were purchased by Berardo in 2006.
The current sale ends Berado's goal of taking over the entire company of Sogrape, which has over 1,416ha of vineyards and which owns Mateus and Sandeman wineries, Bodegas LAN in Rioja and holdings in Jerez and Languedo
