Rasmussen told the website that Delaware has a history of producing quality apples and peaches.

Those are both things we would love to work with and produce brandies that harken back to the initial spirits that would have been produced in Delaware in the 1600s, he added.

Rasmussen is planning to sell at least 4,000 cases of spirits per year, after three years of opening the facility.
