Spanish kaki could price out Sharon fruit

As the amount of Spanish kaki fruit increases, competing producers of persimmons in Europe find the low cost of the kaki fruit hard to match. Israeli growers, who produce premium-quality Sharon fruit, now enjoy a gap in the Spanish season when they can export to European markets, but as quantities of Spanish fruit increase, Israeli growers feel they will need to explore other markets.
