Danone Research, Centre for Specialised Nutrition has deployed IDBS’ data and process management platform E-WorkBook.

This move is a part of Danone's plan to bring together its five international R&D communities.

The deployment, which offers a collaborative data and process management platform across Danone's research centers worldwide, will provide the dairy and nutrition company improved data accessibility, knowledge sharing and reuse of data across units. In addition, Danone's scientists can store structured and unstructured data, said the UK-based software company.

Danone Research Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition R&D VP Hanno Cappon said E-WorkBook was flexible and compatible with Danone's existing systems.

"We are looking forward to integrating the new tool into our R&D activities once deployment is complete," Cappon added.

IDBS founder and CEO Neil Kipling said that E-WorkBook's collaborative capabilities ensured it was well positioned to support Danone Research's plan to bring together R&D teams.

"Recently we have seen a significant adoption of E-WorkBook in the Food and Drink sector, which demonstrates the broad applicability of our platform software," Kipling added.

Danone Research, Centre for Specialised Nutrition, located in Wageningen, The Netherlands, is a life sciences innovation unit of France-based Danone. The center develops new product concepts that provide clinically substantiated health benefits to vulnerable consumers including infants, young children, the elderly and patients.

IDBS is a provider of enterprise data management, analytics and modeling technologies, which are designed to increase efficiency, lower costs and improve the productivity of industrial R&D and clinical research.
