North Carolinas sweet potatoes are in the ground and growing well. It was very dry between June and the first half of July, but some much needed rain since the second half of July offered relief. Since then, weve had rain on and off, says Kristi Hocutt with Triple J Produce, Inc. Weve had some good downpours, she added. Harvest for Triple J is expected to start around September 1.
