Mikawaya has issued a recall of its Mikawaya Brand Chocolate Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream for undeclared peanuts. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this recall was prompted by a customer who alerted the company that the ice cream contained undeclared peanut butter.
The ice cream, distributed to all Trader Joes stores nationwide, is packaged in a paperboard box which contains 9.1 ounces (258g) of 6 1.5-ounce (43g) pieces. The affected boxes are stamped with a UPC code of 070
