Jordan vegetable prices sky-rocket after rain and chilly weather

In the Jordan Valley vegetable prices have increased by 20-70% after heavy rain and cold weather according to the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables.

Increased demand for popular vegetables such as tomato, cucumber, zucchini and cauliflower during the shortage have caused prices to increase on the local market, the associations president, Saadi Abu Hammad, said.
