Kraft Foods set to meet sodium reduction goals in North America

US-based Kraft Foods has announced that it is on track to complete a three-year initiative to reduce sodium by an average of 10% across its North American portfolio by the end of 2012.

As a part of the initiative, the company has already eliminated 14 million pounds or 1 billion teaspoons equivalent of salt from its North American portfolio annually.
