The Canadian division of McCain Foods is investing $12 million in its potato processing facility in Florenceville, New Brunswick.
The investment will add capacity to the existing lines that produces French fries for the companys food service and retail businesses.
The expansion will be completed in two stages, the first of which has already begun and the second phase completing the project in early 2020.
This capacity build will require an additional 1,000 acre) of potatoes from local growers
