The Shouguang vegetable price index recently fell by 6.8% to 97.81 points. The trade volume increased by 4%.
According to analysts, the reasons for this development are as follows: first, there has been relatively little rain or snow in the areas around Shouguang, and the temperature slightly increased in most production areas. The vegetable supply from within Shandong and from nearby production areas outside the provinces therefore constantly grows and the price consequently falls. Second, the
