After 15 days, the teams of Punjab Mandi Board sprang into action again, inspecting 68 fruit and vegetable markets in the state early Tuesday morning.
Any overripe fruits and vegetables were destroyed on the spot and the traders responsible were fined from ₹1,000 to ₹10,000 (12.30-123.00) depending upon the gravity of the situation.
