The Metro Group has announced it is using new technology to improve its supply chain in fish and meat categories.
A new smartphone app will inform Metros customer where the fish being sold in its stores is coming from.
The technology will also provide information on the type of fish, how it was caught and its processing times.
In addition to this, the software will provide information about the origin, processing and origins of a range of meat products on offer to shoppers.
