Classical Swine Fever Outbreaks Reported in Russia

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received an immediate notification on Monday, 14 April. According to the report, all three outbreaks took place on 21 February.

On 3 April, a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test was conducted at the Government Budget Institution, Primorskaya Interregional Veterinary Laboratory. The test confirmed the presence of the classical swine fever virus.

In the first outbreak, the wild boars carcass was found near Novogeorgievka. The animal was sampled for
