According to the vice president of AGAP, Jos Antonio Gmez Bazn, Peruvian exports of Hass avocado will amount to 140,000 tons this year, 40% more than what was achieved in 2013, when 100,000 tons were shipped.
This increase, he pointed out, would be due to an increased demand for the product by the United States and Europe, the country's major markets.
