On-air advertisements for energy drinks high in sugar and caffeine will be restricted from next year, the countrys food watchdog said Monday.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said the newly revised guidelines will remove energy drink commercials from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. when children mostly view television.
The younger generation has recently become increasingly dependent on energy drinks containing large amounts of stimulants such as caffeine.
