The owners of Slovenia's largest food retailer Mercator have received two bids for their majority stake in the company, the consortium of 12 local companies and banks that jointly control 53 percent said on Monday.
The members of the consortium are studying the bids and expect to continue talks with the bidders, the consortium said in a statement.
It gave no further details but local media said the bidders were Croatian food producer and retailer Agrokor, a regional rival that tried and failed
